The Nepal Bharat Maitri Vidyalaya was opened in year 2000 to look after the educational requirement of the ward of brave Gorkhas who have served and have been serving Indian Army. The Vidyalaya is managed by the Military wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu and patronized by the Ambassador of India.

Nepal Bharat Maitri Vidyalaya, PPO Pokhara started functioning with effect from 17 July 2000 with the strength of 226 students. The motto of the school is Strength, Knowledge and Courage and our mission is “TO BRING OUT THE EXCELLENCE IN EACH CHILD TO MEET THE GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN 21 CENTURY”.

Nepal Bharat Maitri Vidyalaya has two-tier management committee for proper functioning of the school. Some IFS and Army officers posted at Indian Embassy for 3 years are member of Board of Governors and and Vidyalaya Management Committee. Vidyalaya has been changing the teacher’s representatives and parents representatives every year.
